Injections may be administered into the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. Sites should be rotated weekly. Trulicity® should not be mixed with insulin or injected into the same anatomical site as other injectable medicines.
If a dose is missed, it should be administered as soon as possible provided there are at least 72 hours before the next scheduled dose.
How to Use the Trulicity® Pre-Filled Pen
- Remove the pen from refrigeration and inspect the solution.
- Select an appropriate injection site and cleanse the area.
- Place the pen firmly against the skin and activate the injection mechanism.
- Dispose of the used pen safely in a sharps container.
